Senior Accountant

AirCapture is disrupting the commercial CO2 supply chain with on-site direct air capture (DAC) systems that pull CO2 from the atmosphere and make it immediately available for industrial and commercial processes. Our onsite DAC systems provide a cleaner, more cost-effective and reliable feedstock to our customers and further catalyze making atmospheric carbon dioxide removal at gigaton-scale economically viable on a greatly accelerated time frame.

AirCapture is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, preferentially a CPA with a manufacturing background, to work onsite at our Berkeley, CA headquarters, reporting to the CFO. This role is critical to the current and future success of AirCapture as we continue to lay the strong foundation for our rapid growth. With several complexities, including Department of Energy grants, increasing inventory, international customers and a growing team, you will work with our CFO and staff to ensure accurate financial records are maintained and financial compliance across the company. 

Salary $130,000 - $150,000 per year

What You’ll Do Here

• All aspects of the accounting function at the Company, including data entry, invoicing, financial accounting for various projects, and compliance reporting using Quickbooks Online Plus (and other more complex accounting systems which we will integrate as we grow)
• Produce weekly and monthly financial reports working with our external accounting firms 

Your Skills and Abilities Include

• Fluent and experienced in Quickbooks Online Plus
• Ability to manage projects with minimal day-to-day supervision
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA desirable
• Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with inventory and/or manufacturing accounting 
• Must be a great communicator, and are able to create buy-in amongst various stakeholders
• Quick to jump into systems and proactively make improvements and add efficiencies
